Cape Hatteras, NC

We had a great walk on the beach this morning. There is a big fishing pier nearby that we didn't notice earlier. You can see it here in the background.


Lots of people just fish from the beach, though. They start them off young here....


There were also some crazy people that tied themselves to kites and surfboards at the same time, and you can imagine the consequences!


After our walk we did some shopping and had a picnic lunch at the beach and then a quick visit to the Hatteras lighthouse, then home to relax, because it started to rain and has kept it up all afternoon. Bummer! But Mom did find a bead shop and brought all her beading stuff along, so she has been busy beading presents for everyone for Christmas and birthdays. Too bad dogs don't wear beads! We're still hoping for a great sunset and we have a large piece of snapper to grill for dinner. Heaven!
